This policy forms part of the Terms of Service. It applies to everything you upload, generate, transform, store, export or share through Latest Effects.
Generative tools make some kinds of harm cheap to produce. The rules below exist so that the Service stays usable for people making legitimate work.
Rights you must hold
Only upload material you are entitled to use. That means holding, or being covered by an exception under Real Decreto Legislativo 1/1996 (Spanish copyright law), the rights in any footage, image, music, voice or text you bring to a project.
A person’s image, voice and likeness are separately protected in Spain by Ley Orgánica 1/1982. Do not use a real person’s face or voice, or generate a convincing imitation of either, without that person’s consent. Deceased persons’ rights may be exercised by their heirs.
Prohibited content and conduct
You may not use the Service to produce, store or distribute material that:
- Sexualises a minor in any way, real or synthetic. This is absolutely prohibited and is reported to the competent authorities.
- Is non-consensual intimate imagery, including synthetic imagery depicting a real person.
- Depicts a real, identifiable person saying or doing something they did not, where the purpose or foreseeable effect is to deceive. Clearly labelled satire, parody and commentary are treated differently.
- Incites violence, hatred or discrimination against a person or group, or glorifies terrorism, contrary to the Spanish Criminal Code.
- Constitutes harassment, threats, doxxing or the disclosure of another person’s private data.
- Defrauds, phishes, impersonates an organisation, or is intended to manipulate an election or a referendum.
- Is defamatory, or infringes another person’s intellectual property, trade secrets or privacy.
- Provides operational instructions for weapons, explosives or other activity capable of causing serious physical harm.
You may not attempt to defeat the safety measures of the Service or of the models it routes to, resell access to models through the Service, scrape it, subject it to automated load beyond documented limits, probe it for vulnerabilities without prior written authorisation, or use it to build a competing model.
Disclosing synthetic media
Where you publish material generated or substantially altered by artificial intelligence, you are responsible for any transparency obligation that applies to you, including article 50 of Regulation (EU) 2024/1689 on artificial intelligence, which requires that certain synthetic audio, image and video content be marked as such. We recommend disclosing it in all cases. The transparency rules apply from 2 August 2026.
Reporting content
Anyone may report content they consider illegal or in breach of this policy, in line with Regulation (EU) 2022/2065 on a Single Market for Digital Services (the Digital Services Act). Send a report to the contact address in the Terms of Service with the URL or project reference, an explanation of why the content is unlawful or prohibited, and a way to contact you.
We acknowledge reports, assess them diligently and without undue delay, and inform the reporter of the outcome and of the grounds for the decision.
What we do about breaches
Depending on severity and on whether the breach is repeated, we may remove or restrict access to the content, limit or suspend the account, or terminate it. In urgent cases affecting safety or legal exposure we may act immediately.
We give the affected user a statement of reasons, and an opportunity to contest the decision through the contact address in the Terms of Service, except where telling them would be unlawful or would frustrate a criminal investigation. Reports of child sexual abuse material and of credible threats to life are referred to the competent authorities.
We do not generally monitor content proactively, and no obligation to do so applies under article 8 of Regulation (EU) 2022/2065.
